All the Amenities You Want To Be Looking For On a Cruise Ship in Mag Bay

All the Amenities You Want To Be Looking For On a Cruise Ship in Mag Bay

Bay fishing might be easy and quick, but deep-sea fishing offers the thrill of the chase like nothing else! The waters of Mag Bay are particularly calmer, home to some of the fascinating sea creatures, and provide a smooth journey.

Before you charter a yacht, here are a few amenities that you want to be looking for:

Yacht Cuisine

When you’re sailing your way through the waves, it’s important to remain well-hydrated and fully fed. After hours of traveling from Mag Bay to Cabo San Lucas, you don’t want to treat yourself to canned beans and homemade sandwiches (imagine not having a tin opener on board). It’s also not feasible to start cooking on a yacht on your own. You’ve paid for the view, not to put together pasta in the kitchen. Always opt for a yacht service that allows you to relax on deck by the sunset and serves fresh hot meals.

It’s an added bonus if the board chef can pan-sear your fresh catch and plate up the fish according to your taste. A great chef can cater to varying appetites and preferences of their guests and specializes in a wide range of cuisines.

Water Toys

A yacht experience is never complete without some water fun! Water toys are not only great crowd-pleasers; they’re also essential to awaken your inner child. A wave runner is your personal watercraft. When you’re taking a break from fishing, gather your friends and play a game of running with the water. It’s thrilling, exciting, and fun!

Snorkel gear is also a great addition to help you make the most out of your island escape. It helps you enjoy an up-close encounter with the reefs, shipwrecks, sea turtles, and marine life of Mag Bay. If the yacht offers paddleboards, you’ve put your money in the right place. If you’re an enthusiastic angler, the paddleboard is a new platform for you to catch some fish. Paddleboards are stealthy, not noisy, and allow for more precise mobility.

Top-Of-The-Line Fishing Equipment

The yacht must be able to cater to the logistical aspects of your fishing experience. Shopping for gear can be very overwhelming, especially if you’re a beginner. Everything you see on the market has a unique set of specifications. The yacht experts know what should be a part of your arsenal. When you’re fishing offshore, you need rods and reels, binoculars, large landing nets, buckets, lures and baits, rulers, long-nose baits, and huge grippers. The list of essentials also includes swivels, sinkers, hooks, fishing lines, and bobbers.

If you’re on the lookout for the ideal sportfishing experience in Mag Bay, Tag Cabo Sportfishing is your best bet! Our Mag Bay yacht charters have all the amenities mentioned above to give you the ultimate fishing trip in Cabo, San Lucas. The Best Wines To Pair With Seafood

Are you confused about which wines to order with your seafood platter? Here’s how to pick the perfect companion for your Salmons, Herrings, or Tilapias on our luxury fishing charters in Cabo San Lucas.

A fish steak served on a platter with an orange sauce.

Sauvignon Blanc With Zesty Tilapia

A zesty Tilapia is a light meal that rests easy on your appetite, and pairing it with a Sauvignon Blanc maintains the lightness of it. This white wine boasts subtle hints of green apple, white peach, and passion fruit. The fruity undertones complement the flavors fused into a spicy Tilapia and bring out the taste to its fullest extent.

A glass of this white wine and a flavorful Tilapia balances the equation of citrus and acidity. If you’re looking for an ideal match, this is it.

Pinot Noir with Oven Roasted Herring

Herring has an overwhelming flavor on its own. If you must pair a full meal with a drink, it better be a full-bodied one to match the herring’s flavor. The deep, fruity tones in a Pinot Noir go nicely with an oven-roasted Herring steak on your plate.

The heaviness of each balances out the flavors and blends into a beautiful marriage. The pairing can easily transport you into a food coma after the first sip and bite of the meal! Treat your date to this heavenly pair on a luxury cruise and seal the moment with a kiss.

Dry Riesling with Smoked Salmon

Salmon is a versatile fish that tastes rich any way you cook it. But giving it a smoked flavor over burning coal enhances the notes even more. You need a drink that’s dry enough to complement the smoky flavor of your Salmon. Your wish is granted because Dry Riesling and smoked Salmon is a match made in heaven!

This is the most superior of all whites, perfectly balancing the deep earthy tones of a smoked salmon. Neither too overwhelming nor too sweet, a sip of Dry Riesling is perfect for washing down every bite.

Gamay with Grilled Salmon or Tilapia

Can’t turn down a platter of grilled salmon fillet that tastes juicier with every bite? Pair it with a glass of Gamay to enhance the dining experience even more!

This light- to medium-bodied wine goes perfectly with the mildly sweet-savory flavor of the grilled seafood. The high acidity and low tannins make it the perfect pairing with anything that’s cooked on a grill.

If you’re not eager for Salmon today, request your chef for Tilapia with a side of mango salsa. The combo with a glass of Gamay will be heavenly! A rosé Gamay complements the charred, smoky flavor of the fish all the more.

If you’re planning a fishing expedition during your Cabo holiday, this is the perfect time to think about the fishing fleet you will charter for you and your friends.

People of all ages thoroughly enjoy freshwater fishing in America. Forty-nine million Americans took to the seawaters to enjoy recreational fishing in 2017. Some prefer fishing from boats and shorelines, while some people fancy fishing by the riverbanks. In other words, the joy of fishing unifies everyone. At Tag Cabo Sportfishing, we are at your service to provide you with the best fishing charters in Cabo, San Lucas. The 45ft Cabo Flybridge can entertain up to 10 professional anglers. It is a multi-purpose yacht that can be perfect for both cruising and fishing. It is also packed with all the fishing gear you could possibly need, so you don’t have to pack your own.

Our luxury cabin filled with comfy couches, beer, and snacks will make it one of the most comfortable fishing voyages of your life.

50ft Bertram

The 50ft Bertram is the perfect fit if you are up for the challenge of catching some striped marlin. This Bertram yacht allows anglers to troll into the sea. We recommend you to search for the fish from a closer viewpoint to create enough foam. Fishing from behind the boat doesn’t generate enough foam, which fails to catch fish.

Our 50ft Bertram is one of the most sought after yacht charters in Cabo San Lucas. It is a luxury yacht that can accommodate up to 12 anglers and has three staterooms, one living room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. This yacht will treat you well.

6 Things You Should Ask Before You Book a Fishing Trip

Booking a fishing trip in Cabo can be overwhelming when you have many options to choose from. There’s a lot of questions that might pop in your head. From finding yacht rentals in Cabo to deciding the duration of your trip. Knowing answers to these questions can help you plan the ideal fishing trip on the best yacht charter in Cabo San Lucas.

Here’s a list of questions you should ask before you book a fishing trip here!

Type of fishing

Our fishing trip depends largely on the type of fishing you want to do. Are you looking to do inshore fishing or offshore fishing?  Do you want to catch one of the Marlin species or are you aiming to catch a Sierra Mackerel? The type of fish you want to catch also depends on how deep in to the sea you are.

If you’re fishing inshore, then you’ll be nearer to the coast catching a Roosterfish or a Jack Crevalle. But if you’re deeper in the sea, you’re more likely to catch what Cabo is famous for, a Striped Marlin.  If you’re planning to take on Cabo’s offshore waters, then look out for the best deep-sea fishing spots.

Number of people

Your choice of fishing charters in Cabo depends on the number of anglers you’re taking. Before you book a yacht charter, you must decide how many people will be onboard to hook and reel in your catch.

If you’re planning a trip with 10 anglers, and looking to kick back after a catch, the 45ft Cabo Flybridge is a great option to check. Tag Cabo Sportfishing offers an entire fishing fleet for you to choose from.

Budget

Once you’ve got the number of anglers down, it’s time to take a look at your budget. You can always rent a boat and man it yourself or choose to rent a yacht charter with a captain and crew. Fishing packages in Mexico also depend on the size of boat you choose and the duration of your fishing trip. Determine your budget to narrow down yacht options to choose from.

Duration of your trip

Now, have you made more plans on the day of your fishing trip? Then you must also decide the duration of your fishing trip to get back in time.

If you’re looking to ride deeper in the sea, then you’ll have to commit a longer duration between 8 to 12 hours.

To have a smooth and calculated trip, consider the amount of time you want to spend out on the sea before booking a yacht.

Facilities

To book a fishing trip, you need to lock down your sea-ride. But before you select your yacht charter, make sure to check it’s packed with all the amenities you’ll be needing. Will you be needing a large storage space to keep your gear and store your catch? Is the boat equipped with medical supplies?

Yellowfin tunas in Cabo San Lucas

The first thing we do is get all of our gear ready the day before like helium balloon, juming fish, binoculars, live bait and our secret lures.

Then in the morning of the charter, before we get out of the marina we look at our water temperatures and chlorophyll so that we can make a decision base science.

Once we look at out apps for wind, water temperature and chlorophyll we get the numbers on our gps so that we can head that way.

Once we get close to the target area we start looking out of our binoculars to find birds and dolphins.

Once we find them we get to them as soon as possible and depending on how they are behaving we ether get the kite, parachute, lures or bait out into the water to attract the tunas.

If we go by the dolphins a few time and we don’t see anything in our sonar, we move on and start looking into our binoculars again to find another big school of dolphins that can guide us the the yellowfin tunas.
